As we are in full Wrestlemania mode in the WWE it’s time to start looking at who should be on the card at the big event. Not sure how it will all shape out but I like to think if I was in charge of creative that I could create a very interesting card for the showcase of the immortals. Now since Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber has not happened I am going to have to make sure the results of those events lead me to this Wrestlemania card.
John Cena versus The Undertaker
As we are rounding out The Undertaker’s career why not have him face the superstar of this generation. This would also be a career milestone for Cena who has never faced Taker with any real stakes involved. In the last 5 Wrestlemanias Taker has faced Triple H, Shawn Michaels and CM Punk so I think the match with Cena would be a good end to that run. Cena would have the motivation of trying to end the streak. No superstar has been able to do this but maybe Super Cena can be the break through. A win against the Deadman at Wrestlemania would separate him from any all-time star that we talk about. I think this match could definitely make the fans feel that the streak is in trouble.
The Shield vs The Wyatts
The two factions that showed up on the scene in 2013 were The Shield and Wyatt Family. Both had huge impacts this year. So what happens when you put these teams of future players in the business decide face off? Their issue would start in the Royal Rumble match. There would be a moment in the match where all 6 men would be in the ring alone and the groups would battle. Two members of one of the factions would get eliminated and come back to help make sure members of the other faction get eliminated. They would then have a few one on one matches on RAW and a small face off in fatal 4 way tag match where they are trying to get the tag team titles and maybe the Wyatts cost Reigns and Rollins from regaining the belts. This would explode in an epic match of the two groups at mania. Also we would get the treate of having weeks of promos between Ambrose and Bray Wyatt.
CM Punk versus Triple H
This one has been brewing for a long time. CM Punk and Triple H have had their issues. Right now the COO has been fighting a proxy war using The Shield and now The Outlaws as obstacles for the Straight Edged superstar. We assume that Kane will also become the final step to stretch this feud out all the way to Wrestlemania.
Brock Lesnar vs Batista
Batista and Brock Lesnar are both back in the WWE. Both of these monsters say they are back to be the champion. Unfortunately both of them cannot be champion and they I would book this they will both prevent each other from achieving that goal. Maybe Brock gets involved in the Royal Rumble after a small backstage incident with Batista. The Animal gets his revenge at the Elimination Chamber and we are off and running. The Beast versus The Animal will take place for the first time ever at the biggest event in the WWE.
Return of Money In The Bank
I am going to keep repeating this until the WWE takes me serious. The Money in the Bank match should only be held at Wrestlemania. With one world champion now there should only be one briefcase floating around the company. This year’s participants would be Wade Barrett, Antonio Cesaro, Jack Swagger, Titus O’Neal, Chris Jericho, Kofi Kingston, Alberto Del Rio, Cody Rhodes and Goldust. Don’t have a winner in mind just the competitors.
Hulk Hogan vs Rowdy Roddy Piper
Hulk Hogan will be back in the WWE family and he should have a place at Wrestlemania. He and Piper could finally have a showdown were they will not wrestle themselves but be in the corner of a superstar. Who do I pick for these superstars? Piper will be backed by The Big Show. Show will have an angle that he always idolized Andre “The Giant” and hated Hogan while growing up. Hogan will be in the corner of Big E Langston. This will be a good showcase for Langston and will have the time to take down a giant. He will also reference how Hogan was a hero to him and he said his prayers and ate his vitamins and is now a WWE superstar.
Randy Orton (C) vs Daniel Bryan – WWE World Heavyweight Championship
In my world Daniel Bryan will be in the Royal Rumble match and he will win the Royal Rumble. He will now get his rematch with Randy Orton. This time Orton will not have the help of The Authority since Triple H will be tied up in his own match. Also by this point Randy will have pissed off the bosses so much that he will not be able to depend on them anyway. Daniel is the most over guy in the company and he needs to be showcased in the top match at the top event.
