ROH Begins its Hall of Fame Right

In a year where we were pondering the future of Ring of Honor the company announces that it will begin a Hall of Fame. In the 20th anniversary year of the company, it will now begin acknowledging the legendary performers who made the promotion a stable in professional wrestling. The company is doing a big rollout with each episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling TV show being dedicated to their inductees and Youtube specials featuring these wrestlers.

Not only did ROH get it right with their selections, but this rollout is definitely a way to treat their new Hall of Famers. Ring of Honor is important to professional wrestling and the training ground for future stars of the business. Here we will profile the 5 superstars and their contribution to the business overall.
There is no tag team that defines Ring of Honor like The Briscoes. Spending majority of their career in Ring of Honor the Briscoes have done it all. Brothers Jay and Mark have won the ROH titles 12 times while also competing PWG, CZW and NJPW. They have won belts in different promotions and been apart of 6 men titles and won individual accolades.
Easily one of if not the greatest team that wrestled post year 2000 that never entered the WWE. Still recognized as one of the best tag teams in the world.
Samoa Joe
There are few people who have accomplished as much as Samoa Joe in professional wrestling. Joe is a man who can say he is a crucial building block in the growth of 2 organizations, considering his work in ROH and at TNA (Impact Wrestling). Samoa Joe was Ring of Honor’s 3rd Champion and held it for a record 645 days. He also won the ROH Pure Championship. Joe’s most famous feud was with another Hall of Fame Inductee CM Punk where they had an legendary trilogy.
Joe put TNA on the map with feuds with Kurt Angle and a triple threat match between him AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels. The latter 2 who may also be honored by Ring of Honor someday.

Bryan Danielson
What more can be said about the American Dragon. A legend in the business and one of the first superstars of ROH. Danielson was a mainstay in the company from 2002 to 2009. He was both the ROH World Championship and the Pure title while he was there and was the first winner of the annual Survival of the Fittest tournament. Danielson also competed in various promotions during this time and honed his skills all around world.
Danielson shared the ring with future stars like Samoa Joe, CM Punk and Chris Hero. His most notable feud in ROH came against Nigel McGuinness. He McGuinness battle over both the Pure and ROH World Title in a trilogy of matches. He also had some big matches with Kenta. Danielson is definitely one of the reasons ROH became on the top promotions in the US.

Long before the Second City Saint was dropping pipe bombs in the WWE or trading barbs in AEW, Punk was part of Ring of Honor. Like the people previously listed in article Punk was a champion and had some legendary matches with people in the company.
Punk maybe best known for his three matches with Samoa Joe in ROH but one of his more dynamic feuds was probably with Raven. He had Raven had a more than a few classic matches as the veteran brought the young Punk along. Known for his great promos and awesome heel work. Punk was definitely deserves his spot in the ROH Hall of Fame.

Ring of Honor has been around for 20 years and through its ups and downs it has remained a big part of the professional wrestling community. From their times on HDNet to not even being on television to finally being part of SinClair ROH has always put-on high-quality wrestling. The company is the backbone of the business. They have produced and developed most of the superstars seen by the WWE or its fans.

The company that brought us CM Punk is also responsible for Kevin Steen (Owens), Seth Rollins (Tyler Black), even more that NXT this is the spot where the stars are made.
