One of the greatest places to watch professional wrestling outside of the United States is Japan. The land of the rising sun has greatly contributed to sports entertainment. Names like Great Muta, Jushin Liger and Tigermask all are from Japan. It has also been a hotbed for American wrestlers to go an perfect their craft in front of record setting crowds.
Guys like Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero and even Hulk Hogan have all one time or another refined their skills in Japan. The Ring Time Staff has decided to share some of our favorites old and new from the Orient.
Dynamite Kid vs Tiger Mask
These 2 gentlemen have a legendary rivalry. A lot of younger fans my not be familiar with Dynamite Kid and the older may only remember as a British Bulldog. Here is in some good high flying solo action with the world famous Tiger Mask.
Ricky Steamboat vs The Great Muta
There are few better to have ever stepped into the squared circle than these two gentlemen. Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat has been in the ring with some of the best in the world. This match he takes on Japan’s own Great Muta. Muta is no stranger to the US and has had some legendary matches with Sting in WCW.
Stan Hansen vs Terry Funk
This match does not feature any Japanese competitors but it does take place in the Japan. Japan is no stranger to brutal matches and developed a reputation for having some violent matches. Terry Funk and former AWA Champion Stan Hansen are no strangers to a good fight.
