The Authority has returned after being gone for less than 2 months. The days of long term booking and building a yearlong story arc maybe behind us. Not saying that I am made that Triple H and the Mrs are back but would have like to see a story that brought them back. Also would have been nice to see wrestling run without that nasty heel in charge thing. Now that Vince’s daughter and her husband are out front at the beginning of Wrestlemania season something tells me they are going to be in the thick of all the action. They very well better be up for the challenge.
This year will be huge statement year for the WWE. After the success of Wrestlemania 30 it’s now time to move on to the next generation of the company. Let’s face it guys like John Cena and Randy Orton have more matches behind them that ahead, that also probably can be said for Daniel Bryan too. The future is now and we know that future will include Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose.
As we close out the 1st full year of the WWE Network the company needs stars. They need bank for the future and now it’s time to fully give these men the keys to the car, along with guys like Cesaro and Dolph Ziggler. One thing these guys need is a rub from the previous set of stars. There is a feeling that the new crew is not quite over as they should be to takeover full time.
With the emergence of Lucha Underground and New Japan trying to establish an American presence the WWE could lose a nice portion of its audience. Little Jimmy and kid crew is not going anywhere but the old internet savvy crowd is looking for other alternatives. This year is time for the WWE to make statement.
