This film follows Ranallo through his upbringing and shows us how he got involved in professional wrestling. We also learn about his battle with bipolar disorder. How it has affected him while performing at the various jobs he has had around the world.
Mauro puts a very real face on a problem that a lot of people deal with around the world. Defying all the stigmas of mental illness, this documentary shows how man who is constantly fighting everyday to overcome. This a great life story above anything else that happens to take place in the world of professional wrestling and combat sports.
Fans who watch this will be moved and gain a real understanding of what it’s like to deal with bipolar disorder. It may help them understand some of their family and friends a lot better that take on this battle from day to day. The film may also put a mirror up to some fans who may need help putting a finger on what they are dealing with inside themselves. The Bipolar Rock ‘N’ Roller is available to stream on Showtime.
