Feed him more. The WWE has built a homegrown star that he is breaking out. The crowd is definitely behind him and he has all the look of a Vince McMahon type superstar. It was announced on this week’s RAW that Ryback will face CM Punk at the upcoming Hell In The Cell pay per view. It was declared with the blessing of resident company face John Cena. The company cannot afford to blow this one. Ryback must leave Atlanta with the WWE Championship.
A loss would throw away a lot of the fan capital that has been built over the past few weeks in establishing Ryback’s character. He is very over with the WWE Universe. Those Goldberg chants are far and in between and have been replaced with “Feed Me More” chants. His interactions with the champion has peaked fan interest and now has a chance for a huge payoff. In Atlanta no doubt where the man they compare him too won his first title.
This is a match that fans were expecting but maybe a little further down the road. But due to some circumstances such as Cena’s injury the WWE had to move now. A Ryback win also allows for a lot versatility in the story line going forward. It will also give new life to CM Punk whose title run was starting to get kind of stale at this point. Add in the combustible element that Vince McMahon this has a chance to be something really big going forward.
