Fantasy Book 2 – Losing Your Swagger – Ring Time Pro Wrestling

The Fantasy book is taking a look at what happens when plans may need to change. If you have not heard yet recently Jack Swagger was arrested on DUI and marijuana possession. This would not be as big of a problem if Swagger was not booked as the number 1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania.

The WWE now has to figure out how they will handle this situation. As of right now the WWE has made no official announcement on how they are proceeding at this point. This looks like it would fall under a wellness policy violation. That Wellness Policy says that this is how they handle violations:
“Any WWE Talent, who is arrested, convicted or who admits to a violation of law relating to use, possession, purchase, sale or distribution of drugs will be in material breach of his/her contract with WWE and subject to immediate dismissal.
In addition to the penalties that may be imposed pursuant to his/her contract with WWE, a violation of this Section 14 may also be treated as a positive test for drugs prohibited by this Policy and therefore, subject to the penalties set forth in Section 15 of this Policy.”

Now the company may not take any action against Swagger that will affect Wrestlemania but for fun let’s assume they do. The writers have to change story lines on the fly all the time so this is how I would look to fix this situation. So I came up with 3 scenarios that the company could run with.

Randy Orton turns Heel
Randy Orton is way more versatile as a heel. He has been kind of hovering around without any real direction. He could actually be a good fit for the current angle. We could package him with Uncle Zeb, I think Orton could make a good racist. The company could be wondering if they could trust Orton with this spot. He has also had issues with the Wellness Policy.

Mean Mark Henry
Mark Henry has been a good destructive force since he has been back. In the building of Del Rio as a conquering hero is put him up against an unstoppable monster. He has already taken down the Big Show but we have over a month to make Henry really scary.

Mr Money In The Bank
The Dolph Ziggler solution can solve a couple problems and is the solution I like the most. Ziggler has been holding on to that briefcase for a while now. He has everything a good heel needs. He has a vixen and a big goon at his side. This could lead to a nice long feud for Del Rio and really build up both men. This could make an interesting Wrestlemania match. I would actually book it where Dolph gets disqualified and goes crazy and beats down Del Rio with a chair and cashes in the Money In The Bank after the match while Del Rio is disabled.
