With the next two big pay per views in TNA and the WWE centered around caged combat the Ring Time crew decided to share some of our all time favorites. This youtube chronicles will be a little longer because there are just too many good cage matches to choose from. We included every variation of the cage like the 6 sides of steel, War Games and the Elimination Chamber.
War Games
There is nothing like War Games. Started in Jim Crockett Promotions and continued even after the company became WCW is one of the most violent matches in all of wrestling. Its kind of a shame the WWE hasn’t picked up the baton and had a War Games match. This clip is from one of the first War Games with The Road Warriors, Dusty Rhodes, Nikita Koloff and Paul Ellering taking on the Four Horsemen. When you set up 2 rings and a lot of steel anything can happen.
Hell In A Cell – Taker vs Mankind 1998 KOTR
Whenever a Hell In A Cell conversation starts it is guaranteed to include this match. Mankind(Mick Foley) vs The Undertaker is a classic violent match. The Undertaker over the years has become a master of the cell.
Lockdown 2007: X Division Xscape Match
The X-Division is a big reason why TNA is on the wrestling landscape. Also matches in the 6 sides of steel were a treat to wrestling fans. So when you combine the two you get an X-Division Xscape match for the title. This match features some of my favorites Jay Lethal, Alex Shelly and Chris Sabin.
Hell In A Cell – John Cena vs Randy Orton for WWE Title
This is one of the better and more brutal matches in the John Cena vs Randy Orton rivalry. Cena takes it up a notch when he has a good dance partner.
Lockdown – Samoa Joe vs Kurt Angle for TNA World Title
Whenever Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle get together its a violent good time. Both men leave nothing in the ring and are good wrestlers. This match happens the way it should in TNA in a 6 sided ring.
