On Tuesday Brock Lesnar had the sports world’s attention when he announced that he was not returning to the world of MMA. After months of speculation many thought that Lesnar was either going to resign with the UFC or go to rival promotion Bellator for a healthy sum. Instead Brock is staying with his current employer the WWE.
The new multi-year deal effectively ends any possibility of an MMA career for Lesnar and also changes the landscape of what could be the future of the WWE. Easily the most legitimate star in professional wrestling and the hottest thing going in the business. It was widely believed that “The Beast” was leaving for the UFC and would drop the belt to Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania, now it appears that there are more options on the table.
