Tactical Force – Movie Review

Tactical Force

Director: Adamo P. Cultraro
Writer: Adamo P. Cultraro
Stars: Steve Austin, Michael Shanks, Michael Jai White, Adrian Holmes, Candace Elaine, Keith Jardine and Lexa Doig

The movie Tactical Force was released in 2011 and stars WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. It was made by Vivendi Entertainment and was a direct to DVD release. The movie also stars Michael Jai White. The basic run is that they are a SWAT team that doesn’t always go by the book. The team is led by Austin’s character Captain Tate and of course they have that Stone Cold kickass attitude.

Tate’s handle a standoff at a supermarket wrong and are forced to be retrained. During the teams retraining they end up in the middle of an actual gang fight. Armed with only blanks the team has to figure a way out of a sticky situation. Michael Jai White who plays Hunt provides some of his usual martial arts action. The film attempts to test his comedic chops (guess they watched some of his Tyler Perry work) but it seems to come off ill timed. Maybe should have focused on letting him just be the violence machine but then again Austin’s character has to be the supreme ass kicker.

Now to warn you if you are looking for grade DeNiro level acting this is not your movie. Of course it being direct to DVD you will not see any Avengers level special effects. But if you are looking to kill some time and not over think a movie this will fit the bill.
