Today the Ring Time crew took in the WWE’s first attempt at an animated film. The WWE teamed up with none other than the legendary Scooby Doo to make Scooby Doo Wrestlemania Mystery. For this one I actually brought in little help I need our Jr Analyst Lynn Holt’s opinion on the movie. Some of you may be wondering what the crossover between Scooby and pro wrestling is. The mystery gang has always welcomed co-stars such as Laurel and Hardy, Cher and even the Harlem Globetrotters. The WWE has always loved the kids so this seems like a match made in heaven if you are less than 12 years old.

The story kicks off when Shaggy and Scooby win a trip to Wrestlemania after successfully beating the WWE video game at the master level. So the Scooby and Shaggy convince Daphne, Freddy and Velma to take the trip to WWE City (which is a not a real place as of right now but be on the lookout). No sooner than they arrive they find out about a bear that is terrorizing the area around WWE City. The also meet Superstar John Cena who has to help them out of a little jam. If you ever thought the WWE makes things larger than life wait until you see them in the cartoon world.

While at the WWE camp someone is trying to steal the WWE title belt. Vince McMahon who has done his research enlists the Mystery Gang to help find out who is trying to steal championship. We end up with Scooby and Shaggy having to have a match and all WWE superstars helping save WWE City. For the adults watching you play a drinking game with how many time Brodus Clay says funk. Of course the stand out WWE star in this is John Cena who becomes even more SuperCena than he does in some of his matches. Also he develops an admirer in the young Daphne, who I guess doesn’t know about Nikki Bella.

If you are a WWE fan that grew up watching Scooby Doo this movie will keep you entertained and there are little references dropped in for the adult audience. Lynn really enjoyed the movie, especially the appearance of Diva AJ Lee. The movie does a good job at pleasing both audiences.
