Born as Jim Hellwig, he started his career in the 1980’s as one of the team The BladeRunners along with the man known as Sting. Warrior then split from the team and started his solo career as the Dingo Warrior in World Class Championship Wrestling. He then left the Texas promotion for the WWF in the late 80s and shot to superstardom. He was one of the few stars whose popularity could rival Hulk Hogan’s.

The Warrior parted ways with the WWE and had a long and difficult relationship with them. During that time they went through a couple of lawsuits and the WWE putting out a not so flattering DVD about him. They have since reconciled their issues and just Saturday night he was inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame. He made his first appearance on WWE television in 18 years this Monday on RAW.

Fans around the world are shocked and mourn the loss of one of the great performers in wrestling history.
