The Dynamite Kid Passes Away

The Dynamite Kid might be one of the most under appreciated men who ever participated in pro wrestling. He was one of the true innovators in the ring and inspired a lot of talent that you see today or inspired some of their heroes. On yesterday December 5th, on his 60th birthday Tom Billington better known to the world as the Dynamite Kid passed away.

Most fans in the United States know Dynamite as on half of the tag team the British Bulldogs, which he formed with his cousin Davey Boy Smith. The team was one of the most popular tag teams during the 1980s wrestling boom. Along with their trusty sidekick Matilda they were an instant hit as babyface tag team.

Billington’s career was not limited to just his WWF run. He was a big star around the world and some his best work came from his singles career. His matches with the world famous Tiger Mask are believed to be some of best ever and used when teaching younger wrestlers how to put on a match.
