We Lost One Half of The Mega Powers

Today the wrestling world is in mourning after the tragic loss of “Macho Man” Randy Savage. He died today at the age of 58 after an apparent heart attack led to car crash, in Tampa, FL this morning. For those fans who are not familiar with Savage he was one of the most charismatic performers to ever step into a wrestling ring.

Making his WWF debut in 1985 Savage was a big part of the explosion of the professional wrestling business. He was not only just a sports entertainment figure but a pop culture icon also. His Wrestlemania III match with Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat is hailed as one of the greatest matches of all time. His relationship with his manager and real life wife Miss Elizabeth also captivated wrestling fans in the 80’s and 90’s. For people like myself who grew up in the 80’s a piece of our childhood died today. RIP Macho Man… thanks for the memories…
