The Ring of Honor

Ring of Honor has worked itself into the clear number 3 wrestling company in the United States. The have survived in the crazy climate of independent wrestling. ROH has been through talent raids from the WWE and TNA but still have maintained a quality product. Look at some of their alumni such as Daniel Bryan(Bryan Danielson), Samoa Joe and CM Punk. Even despite losing their TV deal with HDNet the company still stayed alive with a strong a internet presence. Now under the umbrella Sinclair broadcasting its time to make that next move.

The are huge gaps between each of the 3 wrestling companies that are at the top in North America. Ring of Honor needs to close the gap on number 2. The deal Sinclair was a move in the right direction but now its time to expand into more television markets. Especially into the Atlanta market. Full disclosure I am not saying that ROH needs to be on TV here because this is the home of Ring Time Pro Wrestling. The company needs to take advantage of the wrestling hotbeds that has traditionally been a strong home for the sport.

They also need to get a new PPV deal. There is no rush for them go from the iPPV format to the television pay per view but they need a better set up than with Go Fight Live. The constant complaints of failing streams and poor quality is very hurtful to a fan base that is primarily on the internet. The weekly television program also needs to stay more current also. It feels like the PPV are way ahead of the television. Watching the program last week in North Carolina I saw Kenny King in the ring with the tag team title belts. He has been apart of TNA for almost a month and the titles have been vacated.

This is not a knock against ROH because they still put on great quality matches but as a fan I want them to be stronger. The move to be a bigger and stronger company will only make the entire wrestling business better.
